Creamy Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bowl

This vegan recipe is easy to make and quite filling! Add your favorite seasonal fruits or a bit of jam to build the bowl to your own standards. Start the day off on a healthy note by following these 5 quick steps.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon butter (alt: coconut oil)

2 cups old fashioned rolled oats

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 cup water

1 cup milk (alt: oat or almond milk)

2-3 tablespoons peanut butter

optional toppings: honey, maple syrup, berry jam, fruit









Instructions

Step 1: Begin by heating a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Once hot, melt butter and spread it evenly across the pan.

Step 2: Add the oats to the pan and toast them for 2-3 minutes or until fragrant. Stir regularly.

Step 3: Add kosher salt and cinnamon. Turn the heat down to low and stir in the water and milk.

Step 4: Cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes or until tender. Turn off the heat.

Step 5: Swirl the peanut butter on top of the warm oats. Add any desired toppings. Enjoy!
